The bathroom in Lychgate Cottage was fantastic! I had two options - one bathroom with a bath or shower and another bathroom with just a shower. As a budget traveller, having a choice was a luxury. I loved soaking in the tub after a long day of exploring. It felt like a true home away from home.
Honestly, I can't complain about anything, but some might prefer more than one shower.

I was delighted by the charming decor of the cottage, with its traditional furnishings and cozy atmosphere. The general areas were well-maintained and accessible for senior people like myself. It was easy to move around and everything was within reach, allowing me to enjoy my stay without any inconvenience.
I would have appreciated a bit more assistance from the children working there. A little more attention to detail in ensuring a better vacation experience for senior people would have been wonderful.

Had a wonderful Christmas at this charming cottage! The first thing that impressed me was how well-equipped it was - from the kitchen utensils to even umbrellas, they had thought of everything. We also appreciated the information provided about local amenities and walks, which made exploring the area a breeze. The location was great, right in the heart of the village and within walking distance of everything. The comfortable beds and cozy sofas added to the overall comfort, and the wood-burning stove created a warm and inviting atmosphere. A perfect stay with all the comforts of home!
The only downside was that the second bedroom didn't have a door, which made it a bit challenging if you wanted some privacy. This could be a consideration if you're traveling with others and don't want to disturb each other.

We had an amazing stay at a charming cottage nestled in a quiet village. The hotel was immaculate and well-furnished. The beds were comfortable, and the bath/shower was perfect. We loved the warm and cozy atmosphere of the house, and the character of the hotel added a good touch. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed, including a washing machine and dishwasher. The location was ideal, with two railway stations nearby and plenty of opportunities to explore the beautiful Dales. We also enjoyed spending time on the patio, taking advantage of the lovely weather. The local pub was a great place to unwind, with friendly and helpful locals.
the water pressure was a bit too strong, and the water itself was not very palatable.

Loved being able to enjoy some golfing and fishing nearby, great way to relax! And let's not forget the joy of being close to Leeds Bradford International Airport. constant noise was just what I needed!
Oh, who needs peace and quiet when you can have planes flying overhead all the time? So delightful!

I had an amazing stay at this cozy and well-equipped cottage. The beds were super comfortable and the sofas were like clouds. The wood burning stove added a nice touch of warmth and the location in the center of the village was perfect, with two fabulous pubs nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful, making our experience even better.
The only thing that could have been improved was the morning meal. The breakfast could have had more variety and options to choose from.

The village was buzzing with cool vibes and there was loads to do. We explored the breathtaking countryside and went on epic cycling adventures. The cottage itself was super cozy and had all the cool gadgets we needed, like a dishwasher and even an umbrella. It was the sickest vacation ever!
The only thing we'd ask for to make our party even better would be a banging sound system. We wanted to crank up the tunes and have some wild dance parties, but the cottage didn't have any speakers.

The charming cottage was adorned with beautiful floral wallpaper and delicate lace curtains, creating a lovely, homely atmosphere. The cozy sitting room was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring, and the comfortable armchairs made it easy for us senior folks to unwind. The cottage was also conveniently situated on the ground floor, making it easily accessible for those with mobility concerns.
I would have appreciated a bit more assistance from the children working there in terms of carrying my bags or helping with any heavy lifting. It's always nice to have a helping hand, especially for us older travelers.

The bathroom with a bath or shower was so relaxing and indulgent, perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring. As someone who loves a good soak, this was a dream come true!
Didn't enjoy the bathroom with just a shower, but that's just my preference.
